Paying full price when nobody's home
When you're deployed, on exercise or away for long stretches, your home internet should not feel like wasted money. Away Mode is being designed to help reduce the bill while keeping the connection active.
DefNet is being built for serving members, veterans, Defence families and supporters - with competitive internet, Defence-aware features and a commitment to give back.
We understand the challenges of Defence life: postings, deployments, time away, family admin and getting connected again. Join the waitlist to help shape DefNet before launch.
Launching October 2026. Early customers become Founding Members.
Most internet plans are built for households that stay put. Defence life often works differently: deployments, exercises, postings, time away, shared admin and reconnecting after a move.
These are the problems DefNet is being built around, with practical internet support for Defence households and a commitment to put money back into the Defence community.
Defence-life problems ordinary providers rarely solve
When you're deployed, on exercise or away for long stretches, your home internet should not feel like wasted money. Away Mode is being designed to help reduce the bill while keeping the connection active.
Postings already involve enough admin. DefNet is being built to make address changes simpler, with the same account, easier disconnect and reconnect steps, and no charges while the service is not connected.
When the serving member is away, partners or trusted family members may still need to manage the internet. Family Account Support is designed to make shared admin easier.
Every active customer helps fund Legacy, Defence club and association grants, and other Defence-community causes.
From everyday browsing to busy family homes, DefNet plans to offer a range of fixed line and fixed wireless NBN speed options where available.
Early connected paying customers become DefNet Founding Members and receive a lifetime monthly discount while they remain DefNet customers.
DefNet will set aside a portion of every active customer’s monthly plan fee for Defence-community support.
Support for the families of veterans who have given their life or health in service.
Quarterly grants for Defence clubs, associations and community initiatives.
A contribution to another Defence charity or Defence-community cause.
Compare speed options by household size, connected devices and everyday internet use.
For addresses connected by fibre, HFC, copper or other fixed line access technologies.
